DOCUMENTS AND FEE REQUIRED WHEN FORMING A COMMUNITY INTEREST PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY IN NORTHERN IRELAND

You are required to deliver to the Registrar of Companies for Northern Ireland the following completed documents, with a fee:

• Form 21, which gives details of the first directors, company secretary and the intended address of the first registered office.

• Form 23, which is a statutory declaration of compliance with legal requirements for formation of a company.

• Form CIC 36 application to form a community interest company, inclusive of declarations.

• Models of Memoranda and Articles of Association - Templates. If you are not using one of the Model Memoranda and Articles of Association please click on the following: Important information

• Cheque for £50 payable to the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment

• Continuation Sheets for Form CIC36 - (use only if needed)

Please note a public community interest company may not commence business or exercise any of its borrowing powers unless the Registrar of Companies has issued a certificate under Article 127 of the Companies Order (NI) 1986 (commonly known as a trading certificate). To obtain this certificate a PLC CIC is required to complete the following application form:
