Time To Be Heard
The Regulator for community interest companies believes that each community interest company should have an opportunity to voice opinions and that we should make every effort to act upon them.
So please talk to us.
We know it’s early days but we would like to know how you are doing and to hear of any issues that you may be facing. For instance, if you have come across a funder, advisor or high street bank that has not heard about community interest companies then tell us and we will follow it up. If it is a local bank we will probably speak to the branch direct but we may also arrange for the Regulator to speak to the Chief Executive.
Similarly, if you have had a good experience from funders, lenders, local authorities or other government department then share it with us also.
At our office we like to think that feedback works – in recent times we have:
- Updated the style and format of our website to make it more user-friendly and accessible
- Improved our guidance material
- Revised the application forms
- Introduced a Helpful Hints section on website to help prospective CICs complete the application forms
- Acted as an intermediary to enable CICs to contact each other
- Contacted Big Lottery Fund to resolve funding issues
- Ensured Business Links understand the role and purpose of CICs
